Abdallah Salim reflects on his debut season with SC Villa, reveals next targets.

Young and talented attacking Midfielder who has passed through the ranks at Uganda’s most decorated club in terms of success SC Villa, Abdallah Salim, has reflected on his debutant   season with senior team.

19 year old Midfielder, Abdallar Salim who fans  equate him  to SC Villa legend Edgar Watson because of his style of play, always calm on the ball with a Lethal foot and brown skined like Watson who for those who  watched him during his playing days on the pitch can testify.

Abdallah Salim joined Sports Club Villa joogo team (junior team) in 2014 and got promoted to senior team in 2019.

But due to his busy schedules, having to juggle education and school, it took him long to feature for the Senior team.

On October 12. 2019, cold weather Saturday evening, a day  Abdallar Salim will never forget in his  football career at SC Villa, the day coach Edward Kaziba handled him his senior debut for SC Villa against Maroons and came in as substitute for Kabonge Nicolas in 82′, with  the duel ending in barren draw.

While talking with ndibba.com, Salim reflected on his debutant  season in top-flight football and he feel honoured putting on SC Villa jersey.

“My debut season with SC Villa particularly in top-flight league was not good, because I was at  school and the coach didn’t have a lot of trust in the beginning but tried my level best to put a good show in the few games that I played in.” Abdallah Salim noticed to ndibba.com.

“But above all I feel honoured to be putting on the jersey of the most successful club in the country but mostly I thank Allah for that.”

A head of next season, Salim has said he is  working so hard with intensive trainings every morning as he wants to earn a national team call as well as guiding SC Villa to their 17th league  title which he believes could lure him a deal abroad.

“I always train every morning to be in good shape come next season, and my target is to work hard and earn National team call up and guide my team to win the league title so that we can qualify to CAF Champions league were by I can get a chance to play in Europe.” Salim added.

Abdallah Salim scored his first goal for SC Villa on January 23rd. 2020 during a Uganda cup game against Super Eagles in Guru  and SC Villa won the  encounter (1-4) to qualify to round of 32.

Last season 2019/20, which ended prematurely, Salim managed 10  appearances in all competitions with one goal and two assists.
