96th FUFA ordinary general Assembly recognizes efforts of Former FUFA president John Baptist Semanobe and other two.

The 96th FUFA  Ordinary general Assembly that convened at silver springs Hotel Kampala yesterday 17th October recognized former FUFA president John Baptist Semanobe, Katamba Ojuku Eugene (first Chairman FUFA women football standing committee), and Kabugo Charles Kakunta (former member of Makindye DFA) for their efforts they rendered towards the development of football during their days in Football.

All the recognized personnels on the day received plaques and one million shillings (1,000,000) and were handed to them by the FUFA president Eng: Moses Magogo who also chaired the meeting.

 

‘It is a big honour to recognize special different people who worked tirelessly for the game of football in Uganda. Mr John Baptist Ssemanobe, Mr Katamba Ojuku Eugene and Kabugo Charles Kakunta all had their handsome contribution to the game and we are rewarding them in appreciation’ Eng: Moses Magogo said as quoted by FUFA website.

John Baptist Semanobe, Presided over the FUFA in 1989 untill 1992 and he played and coached Nsambya Football Club.

Katamba Ojuku Eugene, who is the first chairman FUFA women Football standing committee, played for Wandegeya FC, Old Kampala SS, co-founder Friends of Football  and served as CAF Commissioner.

Kabugo Charles Kakunta, played for Nsambya SC, founder of Kasanga Half London in 2002, served under four different presidents (Keezia Segwanga, Sebana Kizito, Denis Obua and John Baptist Semanobe).

The FUFA Ordinary general Assembly has been held since 1924.
