2023 AFCON Qualifiers: Ghana, Angola and Libya register wins.

2023 TotalEnergies African Cup of Nations Qualifiers games officially kicked off yesterday (1st June 2022) with thregs gameson card which saw Ghana, Angola Liya all registering victories.


The Black Stars of Ghana outclassed Madagascar in a 3 -0 victory, after playing to a halftime goalless draw Kudus Mohammed scored the first goal in 53rd minute before Afena Felix Gyan doubling the lead 3 minutes  later.

Bukari Osman sealed the victory for Ghana after scoring the 3rd goal in 85th minute.


In the same group E, Angola registered a hard fought win over   Central African Republic after coming from a goal down.

Nlend Samuel drew the first strike in 32nd minute to give visitors lead before Mbala Nzola leveling the matters in 72nd minute.

Dala Gelson scored the winner in 76th minute.

Vipers Sports Club’s striker Cesar Manzoki came as a substitute for goal scorer Nlend in 45rd minute on side of Central African Republic.

*Libya 1 – 0 Botswana.

Al Taher scored the only important goal in that Libya needed to down Botswana in the only group J game played on the day.
