2021 U17 Women world cup: Ayub Kalifah reveals Uganda’s squad for the Cameroon final tie.



Under 17 Uganda’s girls National team Head coach, Ayub Kalifah Kiyingi has named 30 girls squad to preparing  for Cameroon U17 final tie for 2021 India World Cup.

The named squad consists of mostly the players that edged Ethiopia and Tanzania to reach at this stage, with few  new faces included in the squad.

The squad will enter in a camp on Monday 5th October 2020 at Paradise Hotel after a mandatory testing of Covid-19 as advised by the ministry of Health on behalf of the central government.

Uganda is facing a tough tie against Cameroon who have been at the final tournament in the last editions in 2016 and 2018 in Jordan and Uruguay respectively.

Uganda will host the first leg on 31st October 2020 and travel for return leg in fortnight.

The new faces includes, goalkeeper Gift Nasasira from Maroons WFC, Winnifred Kwatulira – Jinja United FC, Devine Mirembe – Asubo Gafford Ladies FC and Kamuyati Naigaga.

The winner on aggregate will qualify to final tournament set to be held in India next year between 17th February – 7th March 2021.
