Uganda Cranes and Turkish outfit Konyaspor forward, Miya Farouk, is hoping for a better upcoming season with the team compared to last season.
Miya Farouk joined Konyaspor last season from Croatian club HNK Gorica on three years contract.
And in his maiden season in the Turkish Super league, Miya managed 26 competitive match appearances, getting involved in 10 goals.
Scored 8 goals and assisted two times.
Miya Farouk and his team mates embarked an intensive training for the upcoming season on 10th August 2020 under the stewardship of Turkish Manager, Bulent Korkmaz.
While talking to a club website, Miya acknowledges they did not have good performance last season and so, they are working harder to put a better season this time round to please the fans.
“We have started our new season studied. I know that we have not had enough performance last season.” Said Farouk Miya before adding.
“To turn this around, We are engaged this year and working harder. In this way we want to please our fans and take a higher position in the league table.” He noted.
Last season, Konyaspor managed a 12th position league finish on 18 team table table log garnering 36 points.
The 63rd Turkish Super league is set to kick start on 11th September 2020, this time round with 21 teams.
Since last season, no team was relegated to second tier league but promoted three teams. So this time round four teams will be relagated and three promoted to make a 20 team league contesting in the 2021/22 season.
